ISO Monitoring and Communications Requirements - Qualifying Facilities (QF) Providing Only Energy and Supplemental Energy

Summary:

This technical standard is applicable to Participating Generators with a qualifying cogeneration facility or qualifying small power production facility (Qualifying Facility (QF)) (referred to herein as QF Participating Generators) which have executed a Qualifying Facility Participating Generator Agreement (QF PGA) with the ISO and which only schedule Energy and/or bid Supplemental Energy in the ISO markets or utilize the ISO Controlled Grid.

Extract:

Unless exempted by the ISO in accordance with Section 3.5 hereof, a QF Participating Generator must install equipment and software (e.g., a Data Processing Gateway (DPG)) that can interface with the ISO's Energy Management System (EMS) to supply telemetered data.
