Timing of Dispute Submittal

An important aspect of submitting valid and effective disputes is the timing of dispute submittal. Scheduling Coordinators have eight (8) Business Days from the issuance of a Preliminary Settlement Statement and ten (10) Business Days from the issuance of the Final Settlement Statement to notify the ISO of any errors. If no dispute is filed within the specified time period, the Scheduling Coordinator has been deemed to have validated its Settlement Statement and the statement is binding. Thus, it is imperative that SCs submit their disputes within the Tariff defined time frames in order for the ISO to take any action (see relevant ISO Tariff Sections 11.6.1.2, 11.6.1.3, 11.7.2, and 11.7.3).
