Summary:

This technical standard is applicable to all Participating Generators' Generating Units providing only Energy and/or Supplemental Energy in the ISO markets or utilizing the ISO Controlled Grid.

Unless granted a temporary exemption by the ISO, a Generator providing Only Energy and Supplemental Energy must install equipment and software (e.g., a Data Processing Gateway (DPG)) that can interface with the ISO’s Energy Management System (EMS) to supply telemetered data. Telemetered data will be required for Generating Units 10 MW or greater rated capacity. Conformance to these standards is a prerequisite for scheduling Energy with the ISO or participation in the ISO Supplemental Energy markets or for use of the ISO Controlled Grid
