The California ISO (CAISO) will host a stakeholder meeting on September 22, 2008 to review several proposed credit policy enhancements. Please RSVP to SMC@caiso.com by close of business September 18, 2008.
CAISO will post a paper to its website at: http://www.caiso.com/docs/2003/04/21/2003042117001924814.html by close of business on September 8, 2008. The paper reviews various credit policy issues in the following areas:
Unsecured Credit Limits
· Methodology for Determining the Percent of Tangible Net Worth or Net Assets to Assign
· Definition of Tangible Net Worth
· Maximum Unsecured Credit Limit
Financial Security
· Financial Security from Non-US Based Entities
· Affiliated Entity Guarantees
Alternative Credit Risk Mitigation Strategies
· Time Allowed to Post Financial Security
· Reserve Account or Credit Insurance to Mitigate the Risk of Payment Defaults
· Loss Sharing/Chargeback Mechanism when a Payment Default Occurs
· Available Credit for Congestion Revenue Rights (CRR) Auctions
· Penalties for Late Payments and Collateral Calls
