on Mitigation of Reliance on Old Thermal Generation on August 11, 2008 to
present initial study results.. Please RSVP by close of business August

In September 2007, the CAISO initiated a three-phase study
process to analyze the impacts on grid reliability if older thermal generation,
including those units using once-through-cooling technology, are retired or
required to undergo retrofit in compliance with proposed California regulatory
requirements. The CAISO is hosting a stakeholder meeting to present
initial study results, receive stakeholder comments, and discuss the next steps
on this effort on, August 11, 2008. If you are planning on
attending, please RSVP to the Stakeholder Meeting Center at SMC@caiso.com by close of business August 6, 2007.
The CAISO has posted all Mitigation of Reliance on Old
Thermal Generation including Those Using Once-through Cooling Units documents
at http://caiso.com/1c58/1c58e7a3257a0.html.
The CAISO will post the final meeting agenda and other related materials at the
same location by close of business, August 4, 2008.
