What is the California ISO? We are the guardians of the electric grid that keep the lights on for 30 million Californians, serving communities throughout the state by managing the flow of electricity across the high-voltage, long-distance transmission lines that together form the power grid. Our recent success is equally attributable to each and every employee's alignment with our corporate vision through personal goals that are tightly woven into shared corporate goals. We believe in the larger community and celebrate a unique multi-cultural environment at the ISO. Diversity is important to us and it is embraced at every level. There is a global feel to the ISO and we know that giving back to the planet, by making it a clean, safe and healthy world, is good for our employees and good for the consumers we serve. Our work environment is energized by a shared corporate vision and an unleashing of the fire within. The company and its employees recently received the Sacramento Workplace Excellence Leader Award and was named to the honor roll by the Center for Companies that Care for the second consecutive year. These achievements recognize organizations for their extraordinary commitment to employees and the community. They are high honors that heighten awareness about the importance of making the workplace a place to achieve dreams, balance life’s priorities, and foster good within the community. It is especially gratifying to win the awards just as we mark our Ten Year Anniversary. Thank you for considering the California ISO in your career plans. |
