2009 Import Capability Assignment Process Step 1

Summary
In accordance with Step 1 of the Import Capability Assignment Process for resource adequacy (CAISO Tariff, Appendix CC Section 40.5.2.2.1), the CAISO has posted the 2009 Maximum Import Capability for each branch group.

Main Text
For Resource Adequacy Plans covering any period after December 31, 2008, total Available Import Capacity will be assigned on an annual basis for a one-year term to Load Serving Entities serving Load in the California ISO (CAISO) Balancing Authority Area and other market participants through their respective Scheduling Coordinators.
As dictated by CAISO Tariff Section 40.5.2.2.1, the Import Capability Assignment is a multi-step Process. CAISO has posted the “2009 Maximum Import Capability on Branch Groups into the CAISO Control Area” to its website on June 30, 2008 at: http://www.caiso.com/1c44/1c44b2dd750.html, in accordance with Step 1 of this Process.
