Main Text
The California ISO (CAISO) is revising the schedule for posting draft tariff language for the Uneconomic Adjustment Policy, which will address the three items identified for a July Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) filing within the Parameter Tuning effort. The Uneconomic Adjustment Policy involves the following three tariff changes:
· Modifying the requirement that all economic bids must be utilized before adjusting self-schedules
· Providing additional clarity regarding ancillary service pricing when one or more ancillary service requirements is not fully met in the market solution
· Meeting an existing FERC compliance requirement to clarify existing tariff language that specifies the procedure for mitigating potentially extreme curtailments of Demand that is self-scheduled using a Load Aggregation Point (LAP)
CAISO will announce the new schedule for the stakeholder tariff language review shortly in a subsequent market notice.
