Main Text:  The California ISO (CAISO) hosted two stakeholder meetings, one at the CAISO headquarters in Folsom and the second in Fresno, to present and discuss the draft technical system study plan for the C3ETP with stakeholders.  The CAISO is requesting final input from stakeholders on the methodology, assumptions and alternatives in the SCE draft study plan by March 12, 2008.

The intent of these stakeholder meetings was to share with interested parties the technical system study plan for this proposed project.  This project is being considered to enable access to renewable resources in Southern California, as well as to provide economic and reliability benefits to the transmission system.

These stakeholder meetings did not include any discussion on prospective routes for the C3ETP.  CAISO’s role is to evaluate the technical impacts of this project on the overall electric grid, so there will be no discussion on line routing or siting.  Routing considerations are managed by the California Public Utilities Commission.

The CAISO has posted the SCE draft technical system study plan to its website at http://caiso.com/1f42/1f42daf7415e0.html for stakeholder review.  Stakeholders can submit written comments to regionaltransmission@caiso.com by close of business March 12, 2008.
