Main Text:  As a product of Infrastructure Development activities carried out in 2007, the California ISO (CAISO) has finalized the 2008 CAISO Transmission Plan Report and will post the report on its website at http://caiso.com/1ca5/1ca5d8334b920.html by close of business today, January 18, 2008.

 

The 2008 CAISO Transmission Plan Report is a product of a year-long stakeholder process involving a number of stakeholder meetings and comments.  CAISO would like to express its appreciation for the contributions and participation of stakeholders over the course of developing the Transmission Plan.  The contents of the report includes 90 transmission projects recommended and proposed by CAISO and Participating Transmission Owners, summary of the 2007 major incidents, and new initiatives that were conducted in this planning cycle and will be implemented starting in 2008.  

 

CAISO management will brief the CAISO Board of Governors on the Transmission Plan during the January 29, 2008 Board meeting.
