Summary:  The CAISO has posted its final proposal for updates to the CAISO’s Station Power for MRTU based on stakeholder input.  In addition, draft MRTU Tariff language for Station Power has been posted for stakeholder comment.  Please submit comments by close of business Wednesday, November 14 to MRTUTariff@caiso.com.

Main Text:  The California ISO (CAISO) has completed its stakeholder process for adapting the CAISO’s Station Power Protocol for MRTU.  Stakeholder comments reflected a near unanimous preference for Option 3 set forth in the issue paper posted on October 19, which is to settle all Station Power Load whether it is served by On-Site Self-Supply, Remote Self-Supply or Third-Party Supply at the resource-specific Locational Marginal Pricing (LMP) using a Custom Load Aggregation Point (LAP).  The posted proposal reflects the decision to implement Option 3 and provides a summary of stakeholder comments.

 

In addition, the CAISO has posted draft MRTU Tariff language for the Station Power Protocol for stakeholder comment.  Please submit comments by close of business Wednesday, November 14 to MRTUTariff@caiso.com.
