Summary:  The CAISO is requesting stakeholder comments regarding specific aspects of the Straw Proposal on Alternative Central Capacity Market (CCM) Designs.  Please submit comments by close of business October 30, 2007.

Main Text:  On October 11, 2007 the California ISO (CAISO) published the Straw Proposal on Alternative Central Capacity Market Designs (http://www.caiso.com/1c74/1c74e3765f8a0.pdf) and held a follow-up stakeholder conference call on October 19.  The CAISO is seeking additional stakeholder input regarding the Peak Energy Rent (PER) deduction options, described in Section 2.5, Proposition 10 of the straw proposal. 

 

The CAISO has posted a Stakeholder Comment Template with specific questions related to the PER deduction options to its website at http://www.caiso.com/1c80/1c807e291bc00.doc.  Please submit comments to capacitymarket@caiso.com by close of business October 30, 2007.
