Text: The California
ISO (CAISO) has posted a Centralized Capacity Market (CCM) Straw Proposal and a
DMM White Paper, Analyzing the CCM Demand Curve Approach. The straw proposal presents the
CAISO’s preferences regarding design principles if the CPUC reaches a decision
to adopt a CCM in the current Resource Adequacy Phase 2 Track 2
proceeding.
The CAISO has posted
the CCM Straw Proposal, the DMM White Paper, a more detailed explanation of the
CAISO role in the CPUC Phase 2 Track 2 proceeding, and additional information
about the CCM stakeholder process on its website at http://www.caiso.com/1b7f/1b7fd6ebe740.html.
The CAISO will host a
stakeholder conference call on October 19 to review the CCM Straw Proposal and
answer questions. Stakeholder can submit
comments on the straw proposal to capacitymarket@caiso.com by close of
business October 23, 2007.
