Title: Information Products and Service Project
– Quarter 1, 2007 Status Report
___________________________________________________
Summary: The California ISO (CAISO) has
posted its Information Products and Services (IP&S) Project Quarter
1, 2007 Status Report to its website for stakeholder
information and review.
___________________________________________________
Main Text: In 2006,
the CAISO conducted stakeholder interviews and solicited stakeholder feedback on
potential new or enhanced CAISO information offerings to improve the way we
share information with our stakeholders.
Based on the needs
identified and ranked by stakeholders, the CAISO developed the IP&S Project
Final Plan, available at at
http://www.caiso.com/18be/18beea0b53cf0.pdf, to address the high-priority and
frequently mentioned items.
The CAISO is committed
to provide quarterly status report on the progress of the IP&S Project. CAISO has posted its IP&S
Project Quarter 1 Status Report to its website for stakeholder information and
review at: http://www.caiso.com/1870/1870b0752e840.html.
Below are the
highlights of the accomplishment made during the first quarter of
2007:
·
Item 50 – Improve
Website Organization: During the last part of 2006, the CAISO
consolidated the Firm Transmission Rights (FTR) information under the Markets /
Scheduling / Transmission Scheduling area of the website in direct response to
this item. The CAISO has also
implemented an annual review process of its content, and continues to evaluate
organization of the website content as an on-going effort to improve visitor’s
ability to find information.
·
Item 75 – Provide
Complete Listing of Operating Procedures: In April, the CAISO began publishing an
index of all operating procedures that are publicly available on its website at
http://www.caiso.com/1bbc/1bbcbed323830.pdf,
and will update this index each time it posts a new or updated operating
procedure. The CAISO believes that
including confidential or restricted access operating procedures in the index
will create a number of inquiries that the CAISO will not be able to address due
to the procedures security restrictions.
·
Item 128 – Shorten
Market Notice Subject line: The CAISO will shorten the Market Notice
subject line effective May 4, 2007 to allow message recipients to more easily
scan their messages and identify notices of importance and relevance to
them.
·
Market Participant
Portal – In April, 2007, the
CAISO introduced a prototype of the Market Participant Portal to a subset of
Market Participants to seek comment and feedback on the general design and
functionality. The project is
ongoing and expects to implement the Portal in Q3.
Please provide any comments on the
status report to aagustin@caiso.com.
The CAISO will continue to provide a
quarterly updates on the initiatives identified in the IP&S Project Final
Plan by e-mail and on its website. ___________________________________________________
