Subject: Amendment 72 Requirements for
Generators
___________________________________________________
Summary: This is a reminder of how the Amendment
72 requirements for reporting and scheduling apply to
generators.
___________________________________________________
Main Text: As indicated in previous Market Notices, beginning with Trade Date Tuesday, May 16, 2006, the California ISO (ISO) plans to begin administering sanctions under the Enforcement Protocol for failure to timely submit any reports that are required by Amendment 72.
Information
about compliance with Amendment 72 is posted on the ISO Website at http://www1.caiso.com/14d8/14d8aabc1af90.html. As noted in the summary of questions and
answers from conference calls, the scheduling and reporting requirements of
Amendment 72 apply to all Demand.
No type of Demand is categorically exempt from these requirements,
including auxiliary load of generating units. The Scheduling Coordinator for a
generator is required to submit reports when it schedules and reports Demand to
the ISO.
To the
extent that auxiliary load not reported as a Metered Quantity to the ISO due to
netting permitted by the ISO Tariff in Section 10.1.3.1, it is the understanding
of the ISO that there would be no quantity of Demand to report under Amendment
72.
