This document is the Certification Practice Statement (CPS) for the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) Generator Communications Project (GCP) Certificate Authority. The Certificate Policies For The California Independent System Operator Public Key Infrastructure (hereafter called the CP Document) defines four policies for use in the CAISO PKI. Each policy represents a different assurance level. The assurance levels are named Rudimentary (a.k.a. Test), Basic, Medium, and High. These policies are used for issuing certificates for the purposes of Identity Authentication, Message Origin Authentication and Key Agreement. The Generator Communications Project CA issues certificates according to the High Assurance Policy that is defined in the CP document.
