The California ISO (ISO) will conduct the 2006 auction for Firm Transmission Rights (FTRs) as early as January 24, 2006 but no later than February 9, 2006. Regardless of the start date, the auction is expected to last up to three days. Each FTR shall be issued in the denomination of 1 MW. All FTRs made available in this 2005 FTR auction will have a term starting with the hour ending 01 on April 1, 2006 and will end with the hour ending at 2400 on January 31, 2006. The FTR auction will be a simultaneous, multi-round clearing price auction conducted separately and independently across specified ISO inter-zonal interfaces.
